I am so excited to share my latest build with you all – an L-shaped patio sectional sofa! This was such a fun project and it turned out even better than I had hoped.
I decided to use redwood for this build because we live near a lake and I wanted the furniture to be able to withstand the elements. Redwood is also a beautiful wood and I knew it would stain nicely.
Here are 5 reasons why I chose redwood for this project:
1. Redwood is naturally rot and insect resistant.
2. Redwood is one of the most dimensionally stable woods, so it will not warp or shrink over time.
3. Redwood is a beautiful wood with a rich grain.
4. Redwood is very strong and durable.
5. Redwood is a sustainable material.
I used these DIY plans to build the sofa and I am so happy with how it turned out! The plans were easy to follow and everything fit together perfectly.
This sofa is so comfortable and it’s the perfect addition to our patio. I am so glad I decided to build it!
